Decatur’s All In One - Complete Package Café

Review:

This place has my taste buds screaming “YUMMY”!!!! You can’t

go wrong at this street café on the Courthouse Square in

Downtown Decatur. They have an amazing menu of traditional

items with a unique twist. For example, their take on Shrimp

and Grits (one of my favorites) adds a bit of spice to the

recipe by including Andouille Sausage and Roasted Red Peppers

to a dish of creamy cheese grits. You can also order it with

Tilapia fish instead of Shrimp. (Side Note: All orders can be

modified to your preference.)

Another incredible dish is the Bani Banani Pancake. It is

so large that it covers the entire plate. Topped with Nutella

and Whipped Cream, with walnuts and bananas in the batter….

mmm mmm good!!!!! Their variety of Extra-Large Omelets and

Bagel Platters is equally impressive. Plus, there are plenty of

Vegetarian options.

Not only will this place wow your palate, but it will also awaken

your music senses. Every Sunday, starting at 11am, the

restaurant hosts a local band that performs on the raised level

of the interior seating area. But wait…..not only does the cafe

support local musicians, but it also exhibits the work of local

artists on their walls. Artwork prices are listed below each

piece.

The food is great, the entertainment is great, and just as

important…. the customer service is flawless. The servers all

work together to guarantee satisfaction. You’re not assigned

one server; as all servers are available to assist all customers. If

you need a coffee refill, just ask any server passing by, and they

will fill your cup right away.

Sweet Melissa’s serves both breakfast and lunch all day, every

day. Be sure to catch them early, as they close at 2:30pm

during the week, and 3:00pm on weekends. There is a seating area

outside, and parking is free.

Although this place is

surrounded by several cafes and eateries, it definitely stands

out in the crowd.
